STEAM
STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The Mount Pleasant School cluster (Mt. Pleasant Elementary, Middle, and High School) received their TSIN STEM School Designation in 2020, the first PK-12 cluster of schools to accomplish this designation.
About MPHS
Mt. Pleasant High School is located in the small, rural community of Mt. Pleasant in Maury County in southern middle Tennessee. As a result of desegregation, Hay Long High School and Clarke High School were combined to form Mt. Pleasant High School, serving grades 7-12. The first graduating class of Mt. Pleasant High School was the 1970-71 school year.
Mt. Pleasant High School began housing 9th through 12th grade students in 2001. MPHS currently has an enrollment of approximately 440 students.
